Women-Owned Casa Décor Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary with Free Party, Discounts

Casa Décor and More is celebrating its first anniversary with a “Sip & Shop” event including a deejay, complimentary bites and sips, local food truck Pinky’s Tacos, and a 10 percent discount all day.

Mary Villalobos, Kayla Kaydas, and Melissa Sousa opened the store following their passion for home design, home decor, creativity, and do-it-yourself projects.

Located at 9821 West Sample Road, the store sells unique items, one-of-a-kind hand-painted furniture, decor, local crafts, and personalized gifts.

It has been a pleasure doing business in Coral Springs, where residents are very welcoming from the start and love that the store is women-owned, said Villalobos.

“We opened during the pandemic, a scary time to launch a new business, but it has been a year full of pleasant surprises. We got so much support from the local community and the businesses in the area. It was a better year than we could have ever imagined,” Villalobos said.

Villalobos added that the store gets a lot of positive feedback about the Sip & Shop events Casa Décor hosts.

“They bring the community together and are so fun for everyone. We involve local vendors and artists and give them an opportunity to sell their items,” she said, adding that for many small businesses that only have an online presence, this chance to attract foot traffic and get exposed to local shoppers is very important.

The first-anniversary Sip & Shop includes 15 vendors, with three inside the store and others outside in tents, giving everyone space to mingle and shop.

“We are very excited to celebrate with the local community and thank them for their support. We hope everyone will come out to enjoy the music, have some champagne, and shop – we will offer a 10% discount all day,” she added.

Casa Décor and More’s anniversary is held on Saturday, March 5, from 12 to 4 p.m.
